28 Aug 2007Today, 28 August, the women’s pole vault final was held at the world championships of light athletics in Osaka. Predictably the victory went to Russia’s Yelena Isinbaeva, after jumping 4.80 m. After the tournament she explained to the special correspondents of the Agency of sport information “All Sport” in Osaka why it lacked the splendor of a world record.

For the representatives of the “queen of sports” the season so far has been de facto preparation for the bi-annual main start, since the world championships are not conducted every year.
