Yelena ranked 3rd in Sports Illustrated Top 20 Female Athletes of the decade

Today I was notified by my management team that I was selected by the US sports magazine, Sports Illustrated, as the 3rd top Female Athlete of the Decade.

This is of course a huge and unexpected honor for me to be ranked 3rd behind Serena Williams and Annika Sorenstam.

I am thankful for this honor and I know I would not have been able to achieve this without the support of my coach, Vitaliy Petrov, my sponsors, my management team and all my fans across the world.

This is a great way for me to end 2009 and I look forward to 2010 and continuing to do my very best!
